The Sacrament of Marriage, or Holy Matrimony, is a public sign that one gives oneself totally to this other person. It is also a public statement about God: the loving union of husband and wife speaks of family values and also God's values.
We welcome registered parishioners and Catholics who live within the parish territory to be married here at St. Margaret Mary. We do not generally make our church available as a venue for what are commonly called "destination weddings," or for couples who do not reside within our parish boundaries.
Couples who desire to receive this sacrament should be attending weekly Mass, and living our Catholic faith with integrity.
Evidence of such a commitment, as well as being an active member of the parish, will be a prerequisite to starting the process of arranging for a wedding at St. Margaret Mary.
Sacramental preparation is a requirement for marriage in the Church. Therefore, arrangements should be made at least 6 months in advance, and dates will not be reserved until they have first met with Father Cook.
It is strongly suggested that you not make other plans (e.g., reserving venues) until the wedding date has been confirmed by the parish.
